Privacy Policy

What we collect

• Device ID and secret token stored in your browser, so that we remember your lanterns. We store only a hash of the token.
• What you type: your name, the receiver’s name, your wish, an optional private note and an optional photo.
• Purchase records: item, amount, Razorpay order ID and payment ID, and time. We do not receive or store your card, UPI PIN or bank details; Razorpay handles them.
• Network address (IP) used only for a short time to stop abuse (rate limits).

How we use it

• To show your lantern and wish in the sky and on the link you share.
• To deliver what you bought and to answer support or refund requests.
• To keep the service safe (moderation, fraud and abuse prevention).

Photos

Photos are resized in your browser (hidden location data is removed), checked automatically for unsuitable content, and stored privately. They are visible only as you choose: to people who have your link (private) or to everyone who opens your lantern (public).

Sharing

We do not sell your data. We share it only with service providers that run the site (Cloudflare for hosting and storage, Razorpay for payments), or when the law requires.

Cookies and storage

We use your browser’s local storage for your device ID, language and sound setting. We do not use advertising cookies.

Your choices

You can ask us to correct or delete your lanterns and data by writing to abhaysawant861@gmail.com with your recovery code or lantern link.

Children

WishMaker is meant for general family use. Children should use it with a parent’s permission.
